Seeing Palau

Dad parked in front of his office building, see the ocean in the background.
this is where this picture really belongs. (Hey, I'm new at this!)
Front of the office building,  its really blue.
Back of office building where the restroom is and I didn't go in it because I saw a spider on the wall.  At the bottom of this hill is where dad was when he was hit with the Razer ATV.
At the ocean near the office.

Awesome island trees.
the Jaguar and the dad

The hibiscus and the mom.
The reason I call this paradise,  it has dad, the ocean, seashells and flowers.

Marc goes to work

5:45 every morning he is off to work with his broken wrist and his lunch in a shopping bag!

Hike to the waterfall

As we hike to NGARDMAU WATERFALL the trail follows along the old rail road track for a little way until it drops into the canyon.
It is so hot and humid that it seems nice of them to provide some entertainment along the way!

There it is, way down there, see that tiny waterfall?  Remember, this is not Iceland!!!

Its hard to be impressed when you have seen all that Iceland has to offer!!
Price to hike here $10 per person,  $5 for us,  we are locals!  Down in the bottom they will sell you a tram ride up for $20.
Knowing that you have at least 500 of these steps straight up makes the offer tempting!!
But we are tough and want to hike straight up to the top.  Yea, no problem!!!
They also have a zip line.
Fun, fun hike.  Thank you Palau.

Croft reunion

I have the greatest great aunts and uncles in the world!  They are so sweet, I just love them.
They are the remaining living siblings of my grandma Ola Crofts Crawford.
L to R Dean Crofts and Lincoln Crofts.   Fawn Crofts Jolley, Hilda Crofts Heaton, Ora Crofts Taron.
I must say:  my dad is one cool dude!!  He takes on our assignment to host the reunion like a champ.  He is calling out winners of the raffle.  The little aunts and uncles love him so much.
This was a quillow, one of the many quilts donated for the raffle.  It is a rainbow and tree, so awesome.  I really wanted to win it.  This picture doesn't even show really how pretty it was.
Aunt Hildas daughter in law Sally made it.  She makes lots of them, I want to have that talent!!!

Fishing and the cabin make him happy

The new deck needed a coat of weatherproof stain before winter comes.
Steve and Sherie stopped by to visit and gave a great suggestion: use an extension handle!!
Years ago when my home was full of wonderful children Martina McBride's song Blessed was a favorite of mine. At my house I have a hardwood floor to put my feet on and a porch swing and a wonderful family.  I do feel blessed.  (Those children have grown up and have front porches of their own now.)   I also love Lonestar's song about "My Front Porch Looking In".  The cabin is a place that my front deck looking out is beautiful and a blessing to us.   It doesn't matter what season it is, the view OUT the cabin door is the best.
The fall leaves were putting on a great show on our way to the lake.

Marc loves to fish.  We listened to general conference and didn't catch any fish during that time.  At 4:00 we moved to a place I recalled to be Grandma Crosbys favorite magic fishing spot and we caught 7 within half an hour.  That was so fun.  Marc helped me filet them and we got them into the freezer so quickly we forgot to take a picture of them.
